I think both are based on that sketch, now that I was reminded of the original green dragon. It was probably the pose in the latest episode that instantly made me think of the Faust sketch. This interpretation just seems closer to the original sketch to me. It also instantly was reading as more feminine than masculine to me - big ass, smaller hands, less square head, compared to maybe-Torch.
There are several differences though, including the head, the "gem" scales, the spikes, the back of the neck connecting to the torso.

By the way, I never said it was Ember's mother (nor did anyone else here as far as I can see), nor did I even think of that until you mentioned it in the comments, so I don't know why you are trying to prove the opposite to me.
