Hey! You used my screencap! I 100% agree with you. They both have their flaws but if they didn’t, they wouldn’t be relatable and honestly similar to Angel Bunny (who’s even more hated than Dashie) Rainbow’s helped her friend more often than she’s hurt her and actually apologizes. Even in early episodes like dragonshy when Dash had no patience for Fluttershy’s cowardice, after seeing her stand up to that dragon, she quickly earned Dashie’s respect and the two grew closer.

Fully agree there! That was another thing I wanted to convey. Just how close they are despite their negative moments.

 
Let us not forget that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have been friends since they were foals growing up together in Cloudsdale. Rainbow acts like a jerk sometimes, and Fluttershy can be a totally passive-aggressive yay!, but the two of them are emotionally closer to each other than any of the Mane Six.

On topic, I’ve always liked the friendship between these two. Sure they might upset each other, but they look out for each other too. Drag Fluttershy out of her house in the early morning for cider season? Let her go first in line. Rainbow’s being dismissive to a tortoise who wants to be her pet? Convince her to give him a chance to prove himself.
