Lionsgate isn’t even MPAA man
Anyway, I doubt rating a movie based a franchise aimed at very young kids G would have made much of a difference at all. If anything, it would have made those most likely to come more invited. “The G rating is now comparable to NC-17” is such reactionary bs.
Then it’s a miracle that the PG rating for this movie has been confirmed.
Guess again
@MuttonBash
The word you meant is “peril”.
Edited
If the MLP movie gets a G rating, chances are it’s doomed. Not helping is that it’s a 2D movie, among other problems
Showgirls got the rating for that very reason.
That’s a lot of animated kids movies though
Only if there was explicit sexuality.
Let’s face it, I could have gone on for days.
Don’t forget the part where Frollo attempts to rape Esmeralda via threat of death.
Unless you’re a superhero movie. Then you will ALWAYS be rated PG-13. There’s a particular formula every superhero film director uses to make those kinds of films specifically to satisfy the MPAA PG-13 guidelines.
Back on topic, I assume there’s a similar formula that children’s movie directors use to stay within that G rating.
I think Doug (Nostalgia Critic) when over how bizarre the system is.
It’s only an assumption on their part. TBA= to be announced
And finding dory was rated PG despite having no scenes that a child couldnt handle. Finding nemo, on the other hand, which has some legitimately frightening scenes, was rated G.
Those movies came out in the 90s. Cars 3 has no living beings or any sad scenes so that’s how it got it’s G rating.
The length needs to be accessible for little kids too. I remember when similar length movies felt epic in length as a kid.
Hear that, Michael Bay? Not that I’d show anything you did to a kid to begin with… or mostly anyone else.

She’s already said peeved, why ask for more?
They’ve slipped a lot of yay right past the radar since S1, so I’m interested.
