Bright Mac makes the claim that it’s the 131,456th hour anniversary of his first calling Pear Butter “Buttercup”. This equates to 5,477 days and 8 hours.
 
He first did that in what looks like full daytime, while the “anniversary” takes place at dawn. For 8 hours to be sufficient to make the difference, the night at this time of year must be very short, likely less than 7 hours. Even assuming this is the longest day of the year, Ponyville would have to lie at a latitude of 54 degrees or more to have a nighttime of under 7 hours. This is equivalent to about the southernmost tip of the Alaskan panhandle.
 
Ponyville is pretty damn far north (or south).
 
Further, this could only be equal to the 15th year anniversary if the original meeting took place during a leap year; otherwise too many leap days enter the picture and Bright Mac is a day early with his celebration.
 
If the original meeting was 1980-July-22, 19:30 (1 hour before sunset), then the anniversary would be 1995-July-22, 03:30 (at sunrise), local solar time. So it can work, but just barely.
