It can go both ways actually, I’m a christian, and I’ve caught crap from both atheists, and “religious” people alike for not agreeing with them or sharing their beliefs.

One guy was even trying to “convert” me to atheism here.

As for the egg thing, it actually dates back to when Easter was a Pagan holiday before it was changed around into a christian/atheist holiday. The eggs & rabbits were meant to symbolize fertility originally in the Pagan version.

I agree she isn’t anti-religious.
But this is still using one character to force their own sentiment, whether or not the character might be reasonably expected to hold similar opinions.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

I seriously considered doing this with my kids this year. Then again, they’re 12 and 10, they enjoy sarcastic humor and talking Theology with their Dad, and have a lot of candy already. I still got them Cadbury eggs.

What we did do is consider how the disciples came to the Tomb, looked and gasped, “He’s Gone!” Then later He appeared to them and they said “No wait, there He is.”

I don’t think this deserves the “mouthpiece” tag.

Pinkie isn’t anti-religion here. She’s just pro-candy, and isn’t impressed with eggs and symbolism.

I’m a Christian raised adult, and I have always been told the eggs were to symbolize rebirth. Never before have I heard that the eggs are hollow to symbolize anything. That was the part I hated most, that you’re lead to believe the egg is huge and solid, but it’s just an empty shell. Just like me, after experiencing such disappointment.

I am fully with Pinkie here, fuck the reasoning, I want a solid egg!
Digi [FiM]

fun fact, in mexico we fill the empty shells with confetti and break them atop a friends head… or at least that what my friends and i would do back when i lived there

I thought it was based off of some pagan fertility ritual, but I have no source to back that up.

Protip: If you aren’t religious, that’s fine, but there’s no need to be a jerk.
