Clothes ponies are biologically very similar to goo ponies. They’re made of fibers that can reshape themselves at will, but unlike goo ponies who’s default form is a pony, their default form is that of an article of clothing :D

I actually had a very similar concept nearly completely drawn, but the file got corrupted and I didn’t have the original sketch anymore. Someday, though :P
 
The only difference was rather than being a lamia, her mane was the buckle’s clasp and her tail was the belt itself :P

Oh it is, it’s just that most of these things are rare or don’t normally pop up around ponies. Like as an example, lamias live on a completely different continent and aren’t native to Equestria, so there’s misunderstandings and prejudice abound :D
