Description
Dramatic Irony - a literary technique by which the full significance of a character’s words or actions are clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character.
In this scene, Twilight Sparkle accuses Shadow Lock of being reckless, because she thinks her friends are just down the hall, ready to barge in and help her if he attacks. However, what she doesn’t know is that Shadow Lock has already taken the precaution of trapping them in dreams from which they will not easily wake.

The reason it gets repeated so much is because as incredible as it sounds, we STILL have people who believe they are the top of the food chain. They’re not weak, they’re simply not the “gods” this fandom spent a long time believing they were simply because the sisters could move the sun/moon with their cutiemark talent. They’ve never been invincible and/or overpowered in anything other than said talent-specific spell of theirs.

We get it. Alicorns are weak. If I had a dollar for every time this fandom complained about Alicorns, I’d be living in a penthouse in San Francisco.
Story of her Goddamn life. XD
She can’t even use that to catch a cab.
That had never mattered, even to those that aren’t openly antagonistic.
“Well, I’m this arc’s main character, from a new writer”
“Shit”
When’s the last time that mattered?
