For those of you out there that actually like Prince Blueblood, I’m sorry if people aren’t going to debate this ending much. For what its worth, I honestly thought we were going to see more of Blueblood’s diplomacy skills in action, in this “what if” scenario.

I know that term. There’s also the fact that humour is subjective, and different people will find different things funny. If the over-the-top jokes don’t work for you… then sadly, this comic has little else to offer.

It’s a bad kind of feel.

I’d just like to make you all aware of a term that should honestly be used more these days. ‘Refuge in audacity’. To put it simply, it’s a trope used by comedy, action, and many other genres. It means that something is so over-the-top, exaggerated, or senseless, there’s no way one could be expected to take it seriously, and thus bypasses the usual ‘suspension of disbelief’ many forms of entertainment require.

That it would be one drawn-out Blueblood Snob joke from beginning to end. It was that, but went even further with the whole “worse than villains, banished to the moon” thing that I’ve already seen in some really bad fanfics before.
 
I know it’s meant to be a more silly story, but… it ended up giving the fans who did want to see at least something different done with him nothing. Imagine being a Trixie fan and getting a comic where she’s Celestia’s student, spends her every moment annoying everypony around, leading to her being banished to Tartarus at the end for being worse than Discord.
 
It’s such a waste.

This must be the part of the moon where Celestia sends small noisy dogs who won’t shut up. And Blueblood, which must have been an honest mistake on her part. :)

Eh, they kinda already did a Blueblood redemption. And “derailment” is the whole point of this comic, hence the title: another “D” word with a similar meaning.

Eh, I’m with Starswirl on this. Even as someone who’d have loved to see a Blueblood redemption scenario come out of this, and would have been fine with Blueblood remaining an asshole, the guy not only gets a comeuppance that he didn’t come close to deserving (Seriously, he got the same punishment for being a jerk as Luna did for terrorizing all of Equestria) but he’s written as completely ignorant to the possibility that anything could be his fault.
 
Sorry Cook. I know you said you’d started this with the intention of a redemption, but this just went and derailed pretty hard.
