The one on Soarin’s is the generic male-Wonderbolt suit insignia (it’s even flipped correctly), since his actual cutie mark isn’t that one anymore.
What should have been on Spitfire was the regular lightning bolt, like on her blindbag:

your current filter. If they ripped off a very specific, unique design of an OC (actually unique, not just a common color palette) who might as well have had nothing to do with MLP specifically (just an inspired pony character), I’d disapprove. This isn’t even close to such a case however. What’s painful about this is that Spitfire does have her canon cutiemark revealed now, and it’s certainly not this one. It IS supposed to be their actual cutiemark as well even though it’s on the suit, as Soarin does have his.
Somewhere along the line of this toy being designed, somebody googled the mark, saw both the canon and fanon marks, took a guess and went with it. Either that, or they had the fanon mark saved for years before the canon one were revealed, never got a notice about it and simply used what they had. A miss in communication. But with how clumsy they’ve been before it shouldn’t be entirely unexpected I guess. It’s just a shame because as far as official toys goes it does look pretty nice otherwise. It’s not often you see pones with movable limbs.
Yeah the original one is better:
because the toy is crap
