He didn't drag her out, he just stated somthing, "At least she is not Starlight Glimmer" is nothing more then saying what he thinks of her.
 
Now if he started to badmouth Starlight you would have a point, but that little bit he said was not bait.
 
You and the BP however calling it bait when he started his opinion is closer to bait, because you had to call him out for it, and doing so is going to stir up trouble far more then what he said.
