Actually, piracy has caused some problems. Games that have beenwidely pirated result in alot of loss profits, and not just for "big evil corporations," but smaller Indie companies, as well.


 
Still, some game companies have come up with some rather hilarious & awesome ways to combat the pirates. Like that one FPS game that forces players to use a useless childrcken gun, if the game is detected as a pirated version.
