And if this had been made in good sport it’d been fun, but the bitterness…
So G1 fans can make fun of G4 by saying that they’re all terrible people for liking later generations and that the art style is ugly, but one G4 fan says that previous gens look like hippos and suddenly that’s over the line.
Sounds like someone who liked a previous generation and is upset that the new generation is really popular now, probably makes he/she scornful.
I think this would also fit in with this artist considering MLP G1 “a sacred relic of their halcyon, Reagan-era childhoods.”
The thing is, the source was very malicious and bitter. It essentially called G4 and everyone who enjoys it terrible people, said Faust should feel ashamed for doing what she did, and lamented that modern ponies didn’t look enough like real ponies.
Because they have EVER tried for photorealism in the franchise. Jeez.
I would accept criticism of the G4 ponies if it wasn’t coming from a bitchy GEEWUNER.
