I’m just overreacting about twilicorn. the original plan was to make twilight an archmage and have her graduate or something, so they scrapped that to do the princess thing, and then revived that plot for starlight. or… created starlight for the purposes of that plot I’m not sure which.
either way, sugarmac is a cursed shippingAKA: Yes, Starlight is noticeably less powerful than her. Twilicorn isn’t a bad thing either, if that’s what you’re on about.
your current filter.Yeah, Starlight doesn’t really need alicornhood. She can fill the archetype of “archmage” well enough anyway, if one wishes, given enough time. She can still be competent while being in 2nd place to Twilight.
Same goes for Chrysalis and reformation. There should and will always be darkness in the world, otherwise no conflict gets boring.
Ehhh, I think I like ‘em both better the way they are.
Besides, I’m sure if Starlight got wings, (seems Spike is the only one who can get away with growing them) and Chrysalis reformed, I’m sure fans would flip out.
