I am just talking about ABSORBING power. Not about whether was given alicorn powers or not. Which SS did not when she wore glowy highschool teen girl outfit of the year in FG. If she DID then the fight would be more of a stalemate. Besides, Twi did not know about gaining the “Rainbow Power” until Discord said something that triggered Twi and the others to actually beat Tirek. Since the elements of harmony returned to the tree. Can’t absorbed that or chaos will return. XD
 
All in all, Sunset would just need to return to Equestria, relearn about magic from Twi and Glimmer and see if she can become one officially. Doubt it but, its her only option.

She’s clearly not an Alicorn unfortunately, judging by LoE, but I don’t see how your argument makes any sense at all. You bring up Princess Twilight and Tirek which have no relevance to this.

Uhm, all that absorbtion only went so far. Even that was not enough. She had to resort to pleading Sci Twi to stop. Princess Twilight was stronger considering she was evenly matched against Tirek after absorbing THREE alicorns of their strength to combat him. In short, SS did NOT become a alicorn in FG.

Shimmercorn should be a thing. Sunny doesn’t know it, but when she absorbed the power of all six elements at the end of FG, she became an alicorn. What else would you call it? Not even Twilight has taken on a humanoid form with both wings and a horn capable of wielding all the elements at once.

That expression looks pretty ominous. I think this is an alicornified movie 1 version and we’re all about to burn.
