I used to have the same thought, but several little hints from the show suggest sexual desire may be a thing.  
Remember when Discord and Spike saw that banana mare, or the applejack being sexy episode.  
But at the end this is about perception, so if you think sexual joy isn’t a thing in Equestria, I respect that.

There is a difference between romantically interested and egoistic desire for a mare, and sexually interested. I’m not saying it’s one or the other, just that the options are on the table.

I dunno. Trender Hoof was acting pretty thirsty around Applejack and i don’t recall kids being mentioned in any context at the time. Kinda the same with Fluttershy’s Brother and Rainbow Dash. I feel at least some ponies are looking to get a little busy with others.

I learned English very young by watching TV and equating the subtitles with what was being said. Used to know some decent German too for similar reasons but that’s gotten rather rusty.
 
It’s actually been a pet peeve of mine that in recent years here any cartoon, no matter the subject, gets dubbed. Has actually been kinda validated in a recent newspaper article where some researchers made a similar point.

Just make sure you enjoy what you draw. Don’t let shitty people take that part away from you. I can tell you loved doing this series, it shows in every panel with the care you put in. If you stop loving it and want to change it, please do.
 
But if you feel you’d regret changing this up, or want to keep doing it how you have been, then keep it as it is. The only way to really let these scummy types win, is to take this comic in a direction you don’t like.
 
This series has been incredibly refreshing to read. Wherever it goes from here, I hope it keeps this sweetness. Thank you for brightening my days with these.

from what I see in the show, Fluttershy ain’t getting laid. Remember when she tried to seduce that cherry seller. And it looks like both RDash and Discord got frienzoned.
