For those that haven't seen the "Mysterious Cities of Gold" series, I can highly recommend it.
It's very dated now of course, but the story is great, the characters are well thought out (aside from the two assistant sailorsSanchPedro (looks like a monkey), and PedrSancho (chubby guy that stammers a lot), these two are really just comic relief most of the time).
Season 2 of the Cities of Gold was released around 30 years after season 1, so next time someone complains about the hiatus for ponies.....
Different VA crew in the second season, and the style's somewhat different. Still keeps the great story and characters, but the change of voices is quite jarring.
