s6e6 got spoiled and Trixie wasn’t a surprise. She didn’t actually get that reaction.

i want to see her back too, with a better script and some more character building. i kinda have this weird habit of giving characterization and creating headcanons to forgotten characters

she was… okay i guess, but it wasn’t that outstanding, at least not for me. the same thing also happened to trixie back in season 1 and 2, but when she get back in season 6 she had a lot of character building: her friendship with starlight was something very sweet, her provocations towards twilight was pretty damn funny and i wish other characters like lightning dust, babs, flash sentry, rumble, thunderlane and cheese sandwich had this same attention to get themselves out of the dust of forgetfulness (no pun intended). i was also going to say Sunburst but he had a pretty okay character building in season 6 and folks really seemed to like him, so i really hope he gets back in season 7. the same goes to Ember and Thorax

Yeah, I don’t hate Trixie either. I just didn’t find her all that special or that enjoyable when she appeared. She was just ‘meh’. I do admit season six has got me to really enjoy her as I find her hilarious and her friendship with Starlight is adorable. Still, you have a point.
 
I loved Lightning Dust. Wish she got to come back instead… but that’s just me.

Trixie’s popularity is goddamned unstoppable, consuming everything in it’s wake.
 
Don’t assume for a second that I dislike Trixie or anything, I very much like her, quite a bit in fact, I’m just saying her immense popularity is perhaps a bit silly, considering any pony vaguely like her is just left in the Dust or otherwise.

As for the reaction, Trixie’s as much as a dark horse as Luna, when you think about it.

As someone who has been in the fandom since mid-2011, right after the completion of season 1, this reaction to Trixie still astounds and confuses me.
