The story is Octavia lost a bet to Vinyl, and now she has to wear a Nightmare Night costume of Vinyl’s choosing. The costume being Octave, a Monster-of-the-Day from Sailor Moon. Needless to say, she isn’t too happy with it.

The series had monsters that could induce the kiss of death? That must’ve happened further on because I don’t recall ever seeing that in the old English dub.
Oh yeah, there’s so many memorable faces, like the monsters upgraded to steal hearts via kiss of death
