I must say apart from the quite generic cutie mark, her looks are really awesome, it must the best having your OC turned in a canon character, also this was really nice move from DHX the whole make a wish thing.

I dunno, I never thought she looked anemic, just not as over-the- top brightly colored as some of the other characters. Kind of a neat look, in my opinion.
 
And I really doubt her name has the connotation you’re suggesting; it’s a pretty name, and it makes sense for a Pegasus without having to have any meaning behind it. (And before I learned she was an OC, I’d assumed she was named after these, to go along with all the other aviation themed names in the episode.)
