You should definitely find a way to show this pic to the show staff, so they could use this model as the official one for a redeemed queen chrysalis. It would be awesome.

According to the comics, when they first spawned, they started out with the gray color scheme but didn’t have their holes until they got blasted en masse in a battle with Celestia.
 
(I know, not a perfect source, but that’s the only canon on their origins so far.)

Very pretty design - I’m wondering if she and the other changelings may have actually looked like this at one time before.

i think my main issue with the new changelings is the colors. Just far too garish for my tastes with all the yellows and greens.

Nothin’ too special, but supported by the episode.
