Eh, all it means is that she can share breakfast and dinner with her friends instead of sharing lunch with them. Besides, in winter the nights are long, but in summer? They are short. Plenty of evening time to spend doing friendship, so the night and morning can be the time of Twiluna.

It’s less a question of ease and more a question of worth. Twilight could easily shift herself to a night life while still making time for her diurnal friends by either waking up earlier in the evening or staying up through midday a couple of times a week. As nice of a gesture as it sounds, it would be ludicrous for everyone in the mane cast to shift their daily routines just for Twilight’s love life. ;p

While it’s nice that Twilight would become nocturnal for Luna wouldn’t that mean she wouldn’t be able to hang out with her friends and such as much anymore? Also Spike and Starlight would probably need or want to switch over to whatever Twilight’s sleep schedule is since she’s like their guardian/teacher. The rest of her friends though definitely couldn’t support a nocturnal lifestyle with their jobs.
