I should clarify: I do wish to know, and it’s not a high priority, but meanwhile, the near unanimous notion is that a “soccer mom” was the cause. I should also mention a year or two ago, one user claimed a Tumblr do-nothing was to blame and the soccer mom thing was inaccurate, while another claimed that that user was incorrect and a soccer mom was the person responsible after all. Meaning, a continuous merry-go-shithole of “both right and wrong” of course perpetualized by misinformation. So, currently, I really don’t know, and everypony is stupid; myself included, lel.
 
As said, not ultra important, but my personality doesn’t go good together with loose ends. Apologies.

I’ll be honest, I never did learn who exactly set in motion Derpygate, and for the past four years I’ve been assuming E14 was altered by a B and/or DHX staff for their personal reasons. Actually, I’m aware this may be wrong, but it would seem to me, whenever I ask this sort of question, nopony is capable of providing proof a specific group or individual was responsible, instead of rebutting with immature remarks. Nevertheless, it’s not terribly important, I suppose.

Again. Internet armchair activists on the web, not soccer moms. I have yet to a see a single shred of evidence that there were ANY “soccer moms with disabled children who complained about Derpy”.
