This is probably going to be a really charged post- it’s full of ‘ions!
Oh gosh, yesterday’s episode was more than I could have ever hoped for, especially since I got the feeling in later seasons that my two favorite dolts were kind of being phased out. With this and “The Cart Before the Ponies”, I get the feeling that the current staff has some real appreciation for them.
Now bring back Twist in an extended speaking role, please!

Well, a major theme in the show is self-improvement and self-actualization, so I bet most of them, especially the foals.
But yeah, Snails has been slowly, steadily improving himself over the course of the series. We just hadn’t seen it until now.
To paraphrase Terry Pratchett: “He’s slow but he’ll get there.”
