• Weird Al in creating a “foil” for Pinkie (that also fit into the S4 arc) while giving him a chance to do his singing work  
• Lena Hall to build out what pop star celebrity is like in Equestria and expand on AJ’s background and to showcase her voice.  
• Patton to show the fan popularity of Daring Do while using the comedian’s known “fan boy” comedy routines.
   
  Other shows will pull celebrity actors (say like Gravity Falls) but rarely will they be in parts that fit well into the work.

Not a huge fan of “oh hey there’s this cool thing that Celestia is off doing in an interesting part of the world, but here a celebrity VA and a character that totally still is a fandom favorite, right” episode schtick though.

  So that’s 9-12 out of 26 episodes, and that’s of what we know. The griffon ep could be in Griffenstone, and the PPOV ep will likely involve the events while on the cruise, and we’re not even sure where the finale goes. That’s nearly half the season away from Ponyville. They are clearly exploring Equestria, just not new locations that I know some really desire.
