I took inspiration from that image where they grafitied the statue with “traitor”
My problem wasn’t Spike getting beaten up. It’s the fact how OOC Cadance, SA and the Crystal Ponies act in the story.
“… I know… I’m sorry. I just… After I got yelled at in the Crystal Empire and beaten up, I-” Twilight then pulled him away.
“YOU WERE WHAT!?” She shouted.
“…” Spike cried. “I got beaten! By the very people who loved me! They hit me, they called me traitor, and worst of all, Shining Armor and Cadance didn’t do a damn thing about it!” He trembled. “They were going to lynch Kevin! I nearly got injured trying to get him out…”
Can you really imagine the Crystal Ponys who are worshipping the ground Spike walks on doing this to him? Or that Cadacne and SA would be cool with a lynch mob beating up one of Twilight’s cloest friends? Maybe in a better story. But in this one it’s just a cheap attempt to make Spike look better by turning the other characters into outright villains.
Hence why I named this episode No Second Prances 2: Twilight’s Pride.
Twilight: You will not go anywhere without an escort from now on.
Spike: No! That’s not …
Twilight: He used you to get to me!
Spike: No! He likes me, for real!
Twilight: Because you are my dragon! You will not leave Canterlot. You will stay where I can keep an eye on you - away from that changeling!
Spike: You don’t know him!
Twilight: I know he’s following in Queen Chrysalis’ hoofprints, and I must follow Princess Celestia’s orders.
Spike: You will NEVER be Celestia!
I love how stories like these get lots of thumbs up but when somebody else takes Spike’s place in ana buse fic, it’ll be flooded with downvotes before anybody even reads it. But hey, you do you, FiMFiction.
