You know, when I heard the episode synopsis, I wondered if Big Mac would role-play a magic user because of his alicorn transformation in the episode “Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep”. I’m kind of pleased that may very well be the case here.

I’d argue that it isn’t envy per se, but as a way to make him feel special. We know he tends to feel underappreciated at home, so he wishes he had something new to make him stand out.

Not sure if Mac’s helmet is a deliberate Skyrim reference or if he’s going for a generic dark warrior look.

I’d wager he’s the party Rouge; he just needs to be within 30 feet to get the sneak attack damage.

So Discords a Ranger, Spike’s a Wizard and Big Mac is ether a Barbarian or Battle Mage?

First his dreams, now this. Never would’ve pegged Mac for horn envy.
 
Also, I have to love Discord’s luxurious Legolas locks.
