Can’t say I ever built that deck, but only because I never had any copies of the Boss. Though he isn’t the only non-changeling Rigger in Magic. Moriok Rigger is one as well, and it even has synergy with my take on assemble.

Oh sweet Urza. I see this and I just start going Michael Richards. “A rigger! Look, it’s a rigger!” It’s a terrible joke and I feel ashamed.
 
Seriously, though, I remember Aaron Forsythe saying we’d never see Contraptions fully realized, but now Mark Rosewater feels that Riggers are a “When” and not an “If” question, so I’m excited. This seems like what everyone expects, but I particularly like your Sliver-like approach.

Of note though: did you ever play Steamflogger Boss in a red Changeling deck during Lorwyn? I know I did.

I hope they have Riggers and Contraptions in Kaladesh
