The Marines keep changing the acronym for it, but yes, it’s one of those. They’re called AAV-7 today, but they were AAVP7-A1 before that, LVTP-7 before that, LVT-7 even earlier. Generically they and their predecessors back to the LVT-1 were nicknamed AmTracs for Amphibious Tractors.

that was my first thought too but looking up bradley pictures i realized that this is indeed a different thing. … LAPV… or something… guess i’ll just have to think harder what to google for, lol
