Twilight: ¡Oh! ¡Ahora lo entiendo! Quieres tener una cena romántica juntos, pero Spike es demasiado grande para sentarse en una mesa.

Funny thing is that a lot of non-mammals tend to have proportionally small members if any at all, so it’s possible that even full grown Spike’s would be just small enough to fit. He’d still have to take care not to break her hips or… her entire body, I guess.

I can just imagine the conversation that came before this pregnancy…
 
Rarity: Would you happen to know a size-changing spell that’s safe to use on, say, a pony or a dragon?
 
Twilight: Not off the top of my head, but I could certainly look into it. Why do you ask?
 
Rarity: Well…First off, I’ll say that Spike and I are very happy together. I don’t mean to suggest otherwise. But there’s a certain…how do I put this delicately…mutual feeling of physical unfulfillment in our marriage.
 
Twilight: I’m afraid I don’t follow.
 
Rarity: I mean to say there are certain…activities in which a husband and wife commonly partake that have never been possible for the two of us due to the size disparity.
 
Twilight: I still don’t understand. What activities?
 
Rarity: Perhaps I’m phrasing this too delicately. I’m hoping that some magic spell can make Spike and I the same size, even if only for one evening. That way we can do what we should have done the evening of our wedding.
 
Twilight: Oh! I get it now! You want to have a romantic dinner together, but Spike’s too big to sit at a table.
 
Rarity: (facehoof)

3rd Edition Monster Manual. Anyway, like I said, the tradition of dragons having hybrid offspring with horses and other types of creatures goes back thousands of years in some cultures.

I don’t know. My fifteen years of D&D have never come up with Dragon Hybrids. Like I said. Must be that new edition that all the popular kids are talking about.

awww, cute foal, though Rarity was in for a bit of a surprise the first time she burped her.

Also don’t forget that Rarity knows some transformation magic. With a little study, she could probably master a spell that could temporarily change Spike into a pony or her into a dragon.

Off topic this pic is just so adorable.

Ok well what everyone here seems to forget is that dragons are purely magical beings. The spells spike could cast at his age in this picture suggest he knew a fertility spell. One that could lead to him procreating with rarity. Besides that, DNA tests run on an ACTUAL dragons corpse which was found in the English mountains reveal it was genetically similar to the common equine. Thus genetic half breeds are possible between the two. Given the right genetic background.

It’s also pretty common for dragons and equines to interbreed in both Greek and Chinese mythology, and probably some others I can’t think of off the top of my head. Dragons are also known to transform into horses in many myths. Realistically impossible, yes, bit dragons are realistically impossible, already.

Genetically impossible in a more realistic scenario, but in Dungeons and Dragons(Which Hasbro also owns) Dragons can create halfbreeds with anything.
