Emerald asks if it’s dangerous.
 
“Well, not outwardly so as far as I can tell. I can’t understand the specifics of the amulet just by looking at it. Though to be clear. Being bound to a demon isn’t exactly what could be considered ‘safe’ by most standards.” Sepulcher says.
 
Emerald says that his mother gave him the locket.
 
“Was she or anyone else who could have gotten their hands on the locket a diabolist? That is to say, could any of them make contact with demons?” the lich says almost offhand.
 
Emerald thinks back. He doesn’t really remember much about his mother, but he knows for a fact he saw some suspicious looking marking while he was still with his step-parents. Emerald asks if he can use a piece of paper, and after being handed one with a quill, Emerald tries to draw the symbol he saw to the best of his memory.
 
Sepulcher looks at the symbol for a long moment. He then goes back to his drawing and says,
 
“Well I wouldn’t worry too much about it.”
