Honestly, I think Trixie had the manticore tamed, given Fluttershy seems to have had no role in procuring it and the manticore was basically calm and opened his mouth right as Trixie approached. If she didn’t have Starlight on hand, I half-expect the manticore would’ve forced himself to vomit her right back up. Or something.
