I like my dadrock too, that hasn’t changed.
And thank you for worried about me. I try to keep my colon healthy.
:^)

I like a lot of genres. Sucks to those that hate a lot of genres.
Also…
@cute_celestia
You must really love your dadrock for you to try and defend the genre.
Awesome music.
Also, I can’t say for 100% certain, but that certainly doesn’t sound like Dave Grohl.
I suggest you see Joe Maphis:

@Tyler_Cunn
I’m beginning to wonder if Dave Grohl even said that or if it’s just something someone else put together. Regardless of that it almost sounds like “old man can’t use a computer” or maybe even “Dumb old man in 1970 refuses to wear seatbelt and dies”. I have no Macbook but won’t discredit it entirely, hopefully I’ll have the same attitude long in the future too with other technology as long as it doesn’t turn into some Dystopian invention. Then again I’m probably “living in a dystopia for farmers from the 1850s” because of cars having been invented yet it’s about the people misusing them, not the cars themselves - knife analogy: it can be used to serve food or ruin life.

I’ve got the opposite problem. Most of my favorite artists are black and I can’t stop talking shit about predominately white genres of music, so I sometimes get funny looks.
>listen to polka
>if you don’t you’re disrespecting my race
I think it goes without saying that when people remark on a genre of music, they mean how it is in the last decade or so. Eg, ‘Rap music sucks. It didn’t used to.’
Modern country tends to suck.
Artists like Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, and Merle Haggard (RIP) were masters at conveying emotion through song.
God I hate this argument. “Y-you don’t like it? Well, you must not be trying hard enough!”
Either suggest a few of the best rappers you know of for us to check out, or I’m not going to take you seriously. I’m not going to invest my precious time trying to like something that hasn’t appealed to me if you can’t even be bothered to point people in the right direction.
Rap typically sucks because of the ‘lyrics’ (and the lack of actual singing) often glorifies being an awful, greedy, abusive, thuggish piece of shit.
Country typically sucks because its incredibly repetitive in content and execution and has a limited emotional range it effectively appeals to, and lately the ‘bro country’ stuff which is lyrically the white guy version of rap.
Pop often sucks (I can’t even say typically because ‘pop’ is such a broad term) because much of it is either shallow and/or manufactured and/or performed by people who can’t sing. Most of it is just blandly mediocre rather than awful, which is arguably worse because at least shitty stuff you can make fun of and riff on.
