In the story book, called Twilight Sparkle Sleepover Surprise or something, Sunny Flare here is the illest and managed to get 3 girls crying due to her mean-spirited teasing. Its not as canon as the movies or the show, but it is something that can be used to write something about.

The Shadowbolts would have made great foils for the Humane 6. Even with just little snippets of interaction would have been enough. But no. They had to focus on the boring and 1-dimensional principle instead. Plus the Friendship Games was not that interesting. The rules made little sense, and the score was inconsistent.
 
They should have a comic arc dedicated to them. One that shows how they are post-Friendship Games. I know it won’t be canon, but it will be something, no?

Sunny Flare deserves a lot more attention. It’s a shame she doesn’t get as much love as she deserves. She’s such an underrated character. And she has such an amazing design and personality.

Yeah, Indigo, Lemon, and Sunny got the short end of the stick (even though Sour and Sugarcoat didn’t get much either). Such a shame, they deserve better.

To be fair, Twilight did fall on top of her. But that was Indigo’s fault. :P

I like Sunny Flare. She was a bit of a jerk to Sci-Twi, but not as much as Sour Sweet. I hope she, and the rest of the Shadowbolts, make another appearance. In the comics and/or the show itself.

You know, the Hasbro online descriptions said that Sunny is a stickler for the rules and hates cheating. It would’ve been cool if, during Unleash the Magic, Sunny was uncomfortable with making Twilight unleash the magic because it went against her no-cheating nature.

Poor Sunny. She had more screen time than Lemon Zest and 3 lines (where as lemon only spoke once)and she gets screwed over. She really deserves more respect. I don’t like that she’s being ignored. She really has a lot of character and personality.
