Wait a minute. So if the Pseudocorns use Rainbow Dash’s stolen wings to turn themselves into Alicorns, does this mean that they will overthrow the Alicorn Tetrarchy and rule Equestria?
Looks like we finally got one!
Kind of sad, as a villain trying to artificially become an alicorn would be a very good concept.
Radiant had a few comics going for her that fleshed her out, compared to these three unicorns who only appeared in one issue so far. Plus, there are a few people who like Radiant (me included) but felt the story fumbled with her and Sombra.
It doesn’t help that the trio are generic villains who didn’t done anything memorable in their issue.
Edited
Heck, everyone seems to hate Radiant Hope and she gets fan art.
I’ve noticed that certain writers really seem to have favorites and, well, not so liked ponies in the show, and even more so in the few comics I’ve read. Generally these comics are fanfiction level writing, in some cases middle school and almost elementary.
We’ve seen Dash as possibly the most capable flyer in Equestria, she seems to be one of the more competent combatants with strength comparable to what are considered very strong earth ponies and her weather control is pretty darn high level too (all but plot controlled weather). So its pretty maddeningly inconsistent how she is portrayed by writers that clearly dont like her/the stereotype they associate her too.
It’s probably better that they took the PG-rated route.
Know that you’re being facetious, but considering that IDW did magic sapient apples, (poorly, as expected) ducks would be quite welcome.
What?! Since when do ducks have magic? This is outrageous! IDW has gone to far this time. I mean really, magic ducks?! They don’t even talk in the show! Doesn’t anyone care about the consistency of Equestria’s lore anymore?just in case: tis’ but a joke
Deer <ducks>
>Who else has magic?
Centaurs? Changelings? Zebras? A lot of species have magic in this verse, not just Unicorns.
also this is a really weird plot device but it’s not the first time Dash has lost her wings
You’re pretty much contesting show cannon with comic canon, which is sortof moot.
Using the cattle arc to defend ANYTHING WHATSOEVER is a TERRIBLE idea, since it literally brings everyone down.
She does get worfed down (because muh kid show) but nothing says she can’t put up a decent fight in one on one and this is a different writer than all those (especially cook who has an obvious Hardon for Twilight and dislike Dash, which makes me fear her special comic in the future)
could be just cause its a preview/scan but the emphasis comes off as more inverted with how the ‘I’ and ‘MY’ are more saturated if that’s the case(I need MY wings instead of I NEED my WINGS). also doesn’t help that their the same font size instead of having the words that are being emphasized more be bigger than the ones that aren’t suppose to be as emphasized.
@Tragiclady
I was asking why ‘I’ and ‘MY’ have one effect(solid red) while ‘NEED’ and ‘WINGS’ had a another(solid red with yellow outline) not why there was an effect on them in the first place sillygoose
Bull.
Dash couldn’t jack against the cattle rustlers while Twilight solved the situation in 2 seconds, Dash was pretty much screwed when the pirates in the comics decided “screw this” and ganged up on her while they instantly backed down when twilight used a small display of her OP magic against them, Dash gets worfed CONSTANTLY (look at the how chrysalis auto-captured all the other 5 without even breaking a sweat while twilight solo’d chrysalis) or how she was stupid enough to run into AJ’s hooves in the siege arc.
Magic puts Dash at an automatic disadvantage against virtually every high level unicorn or alicorn in existence. Shining armor, Cadence, celestia, Twilight, Starlight glimmer, Sunset shimmer, chrysalis, all of them vastly more powerful than Dash. And in terms of brute force, random muggles like the cattle rustlers also Are more dangerous than dash too.

With the comics these days yes they will let one thing ruin it when it’s a minor detail.
@Pagan
It’s not good when that attention seeking starts infecting others.
They just want the attention I’m sure there’s only three comics I have problems with Siege, the western arc and dragon town the others are fine if you ask me. The Chrysalis ones to a lesser extent but mainly just for her depiction not the stories themselves.
Is anyone really serious about the little things ruining it or do they just label it a quibble that is rarely alone for long?
Yeah but those are instances where you actually can’t defend anything that certain scene does. Anyways people there days are quick to demonize something that’s minor in the comics and then declare Comic ruined 4ever. If a minor consistentcy is all it takes then well I’m not even sure how they enjoy it anymore.
That starlight ending to season 5 was pretty dumb and then there’s rainbow falls yeah no the show can be plenty dumb at times.
