Spock’s one was sadder, this one did not make me cry…
 
…but then again that’s due to how BAD this fucking movie is!

Reminds me of SF Debris’ tribute to Data in his review of Nemesis

Here’s the thing. I like the IDEA of the sacrifice; I like the idea of Data realizing his humanity and giving up his existence to save those he loves. But the way the movie handled it, and the way the other movies handled his damn emotion chip, it was all a waste.
 
Now me personally, I would’ve gone the Rurouni Kenshin route: have him realize, in pitted combat, that it’d be easier to die for his friends, but an even greater show of love to LIVE for them.
