But yes, it is true we don’t really know if he was just bored with the game. Or wasn’t really friends with her. Or some other reason~

If he really doesn’t care for her why would he protect her from the falling Jenga tower of heavy books which seemed to be quite a struggle for him too? Maybe he just didn’t liked the game as much as she did.

Indeed, one would think if they were as close as Starlight thought then he would make some effort to contact her at some point. Then again maybe he did but by then Starlight had shut herself off from the world and moved out into that town with no name. Course it should be noted Starlight seemed to make no effort to contact him either. Overall, I liked the finale but I didn’t find her “tragic past” all that sympathetic compared to others we have gotten (Diamond Tiara most recently). I liked that Twilight voiced that Starlight’s response to what happened to her as a kid was “ridiculous.”

I would to see an episode next season where Starlight Glimmer finds Sunburst and then realizes they have nothing in common.
