Yea, this theory is a bit of a stretch, now that I think about it. But yes, let’s wait for the finale before we start throwing around such terms, okay? Rampant speculation before at least semi-hyped things like this tends to not be helpful and can even be detrimental to one’s enjoyment of it if it turns out that speculation was all for naught.
 
That’s the kind of thing that happened with Equestria Games – too many people expected the Games to be shown center-stage, and when they saw it was just another (admittedly really good) Spike episode, people cried foul and started whining about how “it wasn’t what we expected” and that “they missed out on a great opportunity by not showing the Games”.
 
In those cases, people should have learned not to judge an episode by what it could have been and instead by what it actually was. And the only reason people were talking about what could have been in the first place was because of all that wild speculation. In the end, patience and open-mindedness will beat out rampant speculation any day of the week, and unless you’ve analyzed every part of every episode to where you find out some major twist the writers were planning all along, odds are the writers aren’t going to write an episode to the whim of your hastily slapped-together headcanon only based on minor details and thirty second snippets.

Um did you not read my post? That means Cadence and Shining Armor named their child Starlight Glimmer which sounds utterly ridiculous when you think about it. It doesn’t matter if they don’t know what she look like because they still named her Starlight Glimmer which shouldn’t happen if they were told about Starlight Glimmer after the premiere. Either that or they decided to troll their baby.
 
Truthfully the only way I could see this working is if she changed her name or something for some reason but that’s just reaching.

What does that have to do with anything? Cadence and Shining in the present don’t know what their future child will look like.

It’s more of the fact that the plot sounds completely contrived in the finale and the only way to make her effective is by plot bias. A Sue no matter the media is not defined by their powers. They’re defined by plot bias and their ability to make the heroes to hold the idiot ball, etc.
 
I’m not calling her a complete villain sue yet though. I have some hope the finale could be good. She just has symptoms of it. Her bullshit Time Travel Spell is just a symptom.
 
No what turns her into a Villain Sue in this little “theory” is that for this to actually work then this means that nobody and I mean nobody told anyone about Starlight. That is literally fucking stupid as hell. Why the absolute fuck would you not tell anybody about this unicorn who could remove Cutie Marks. That is so plot bias towards Starlight that I can’t see how she couldn’t be one.
 
Judging from what is spoiled about the finale though I don’t have much hope.

Not entirely but she’ll be bordering towards it in the finale anyways. This theory just makes it blatantly obvious. She’s already showing signs of it but I need to see the finale before I make a complete confirmation.

Honestly this horrible theory creates a huge plot hole that could turn Starlight Glimmer into a massive Villain Sue.

That is a huge stretch even by brony standards. The colors don’t even match as closely as the image implies.

If the story actually goes that route, that would be so freakin’ great, like falling down a hole and when you get to the bottom it’s an enormous gold mine full of reaction shots and FAIC onscreen and imploding complainers online. As far as plot twists go, it would floor Target Audience and the rest of the fandom that don’t follow, y’know, the fandom.
