Well, Fluttershy is pretty physically strong too (remember when she suplexed Harry the Bear while giving him a “massage”?), though AJ is probably even stronger physically, especially in the hind legs.
And, if weapons were allowed on the show, I could definitely see AJ using a gun of some sort (though that’s probably partially because of the “Confederate flag-waving, Gun-toting, inbred southerner” stereotype||, which is almost definitely the reason why AJ x Big Mac is one of the most common incest pairings in the fandom||).
She’s also a bit more cheerful, and probably gun-happy.
Out of the Mane Six, I think Applejack would probably be the best fit for Curly (partly because she’s blonde, and AJ is the one I see as the most likely to be good at rocking a machine gun).
