Be warned, this spoils the ending to Undertale, as well as a hidden mechanic.

Removed the questionable tag, adding the Semi-Grimdark tag instead.
Because I was scared when I saw this in the game and thought of it “too spoopy” at the time. Now I realized it’s not that questionable.
It’s one of the endings you can get in Undertale. If you complete the Genocide ending, which is basically kill all enemies until they stop appearing in all areas and kill all bosses, and then try to play the game again, you’ll be asked to give up your soul in order to do so. Once you give up your soul and then get the best ending you’ll be asked to either live with Torial or on your own (or go back to your own family or something), choosing to live on your own will make the game show you a picture of all the characters still being in contact with each other but because you gave up your soul (or rather the protagonist’s soul) to play the game again the protagonist’s body will be taken over by the most evil human in the game, who’s now an evil ghost, to show you that he killed everyone you saved and that you can’t escape from your sins.
