NMM’s smoke form has that exact same look about it. and when Steven Magnet was explaining what happened to him, he said that a tacky little cloud of PURPLE smoke ripped off his moustache. then again, she probably zipped by him so fast that he couldn’t see what happened well enough.

also, it’s Hasbro. we should expect stuff like that from them by now.

Trixie is sold as a single for about $7 in the 4th wave of the wedding series.
They could have given Rainbow’s and Pinkie’s slots to other secondary/BG characters of high demand, like Lyra (also available as a single).
