Normal is overrated
I have mixed thoughts on The Washouts. Scootaloo being interested in Lightening Dust over Rainbow Dash was a neat concept, but Lightening turning out to still be a careless pony willingly having a filly get killed felt forced.

So, The Washouts, having finally watched it in English, I really liked it. Probably my favorite episode in the season

Sounding like a broken record here, but does anyone have a working link to the latest Aussie episode? EqD lists two; yadisk is broken like always, and sendvid says “unauthorized”.

I liked The Washouts except for the ending.
Not the fact Lightning Dust didn’t get redeemed, but the fact that it could have been avoided had Rainbow Dash actually took the time to actually explain to Scoots the dangers of being a daredevil, and had Scootaloo listened.
If RD hadn’t swooped in and saved her, Scootaloo would have ended up in a full body wing and hoof cast, drinking through a straw, and living in a wagon down by the river.
But, again, it was a good episode overall, it just had a bad ending.

How on earth did she shae those? and don’t say ‘because Pinkie’, that excuse is getting old.
Getting desperate to write them off early.
They have an intro like pro-wrestlers. Or Iron Will.
Specially made suits. That’s smart. As is that disclaimer.
Can’t deny their skillz.
This is one of those things we always wanted, a team of former bolts and bolt-hopefuls. Glad it ain’t the shadowbolts.
Okay, i like Rolling Thunder. Pegasi need more quality waifu bait.

I’m not intimidated by what sounds like a new ‘tough’ voice for Spitfire.
Seriously, it’s awful.
She said it a third time, with no variation.
More like dorky as fuck.
Fuck, she went from mom to dad.
Dash is lucky she wasn’t impaled.
Another betrayal. Of course miss cart crash would like some daredevils.
Dash lost the mom title, so Twilight had to pick it up.
Short fuse is a riot.

Acceptance is the final stage.

Half-Pint Dynamite is a cool name for many things.
Dammit, Dust. Newbies need rehearsal.
Taking on too much at a time and biting more than you can chew. AH, to be young again.
She’s the only member, who’s gonna impeach her.
See, too much thrust. And i think this is the first time Dash has had to save someone going too high rather than the other way around.
That’s a deceptively long rope.

Aw, what a sweet moral.
It’s super weird. But not as weird as where the hell everyone is getting this pony-specific merch.
Well that was a jolly good episode. Started kind of rushing things, but slowed to a good pace. And Dust is back, has her own thing, is not explicitly evil, just reckless like we know she is. And she’s found a way to make that tendency work for her. I remember back when the show did that all the time. I don’t even mind she had no redemption. A semi friendly rivalry is just as good, if not entirely better.
TLDR: It’s-a good-a show-a.

I figured it out. I opened the site (sendvid), paused the video (it was too choppy to watch anyway and it kept giving me network/unauthorized errors), then I could download it in the background (took almost 40 minutes, the site’s so slow), then I could watch it. What a mess.

For me, Rolling Thunder reminds me of either The Sniper from TF2, or Captain Boomerang from Suicide Squad. Given the Washouts status, I’m leaning towards Captain Boomerang.

I just watched The Washouts, and I couldn’t help but notice all the similarities between them and Twilight’s Friendship school.
||Both are organisations started by people rebelling against the standard Equestrian government. For Washouts it’s the Wonderbolt, for Twilight’s school it’s the EEA, both accept people who aren’t allowed into the standard Equestrian organization, and both are deemed to be “too dangerous” by others who don’t agree with them. ||
