Supposedly that’s not actually true. Something about one of the marketers trying to pass the episode off as such to appeal to transpeople, but that wasn’t the intent from the actual writers or somesuch.

Not to be insensitive, but the transgender market isn’t exactly an booming untouched population ripe for marketing. Even the smallest risk that it would somehow upset a small group of people is equal or greater to the potential support they would’ve received if that plan somehow worked for them.

I thought it was a good episode. As for Gabby, I didn’t view her as a Mary sue. If she was, she would be less naive and oblivious.

I don’t exactly agree with the Mary Sue accusation, but I can understand why so many people decided to see Gabby as one.
