ya’ll are wondering, yes I saw something going on on Twitter and this time it’s about Alicorn ocs.
I did heard there was the entire Alicorn oc drama that happened years ago, and it seems like it kinda resurfaced in this year of 2024.
Heck, I would also like to add that Alicorns are not royal in G5, well, Sunny is the only non Royal alicorn we seen so far and she doesn’t want to be a royal, she just want to be a good leader and help other ponies.

In this case, do some of you have a alicorn oc (even the non Royal Alicorn ocs), if so, what’s their special talent and personality, and also luckily avoiding the good old stereotypical “Alicorns are too overpowered and narcissist you idiot!”
I’ll share mine first:
FoE Blade (and maybe even share Rainbow01 Blade..?)
My first MLP oc, and also the first alicorn oc I made, is named Blade (plus this takes place in a game called Ashes Town (AT), inspired by both Pony Town (PT) and FoE), right after my user name since I’m still new to the fandom last year. At first there was some little lore, tho after some refreshing a bit here’s some lore of FoE Blade

My first MLP oc, and also the first alicorn oc I made, is named Blade (plus this takes place in a game called Ashes Town (AT), inspired by both Pony Town (PT) and FoE), right after my user name since I’m still new to the fandom last year. At first there was some little lore, tho after some refreshing a bit here’s some lore of FoE Blade
After some morbid experiment left him with wings sitched on him, he wandered across the wasteland till he come along a small town, alongside a stable. After making himself more of a mercenary there, he was elected as leader of the stable due to the original one gone missing (the lore might change a bit later on..). In this case, marking Blade as the first Overstallion alicorn, or modified alicorn of Stable 49.
In the FoE Au I have, FoE Blade already stated many times to others including those that dislike him due to his powers, that even tho he’s a alicorn, he don’t want to have power, he just want to be their helpful leader, a friend to help out others.

FoE Blade’s powers vary in strength, and due to some dark magic that was evolved from the experiment, Blade is not alone in his mind sometimes..(and no he does not have DID, let just say there’s a creepy shadow demon pony inside his body, something like Venom..). He usually held his powers back to avoid any huge destruction, and even if he did go all crazy for a bit, lets just say there may be huge craters with burnt marks left in front of him..
Even before the balefires dropped (and a normal unicorn), he does have some decent handle of magic, such as summoning a shield as a colt to save others during an earthquake.

Rainbow01 is another WIP au I have, in which similar yet different events played out for most of my ocs.
Blade in this universe have a similar origin story as FoE Blade, tho instead of being a Overstallion, he just a ordinary stallion who works in a military squaduan near Manhattan (the lore is still WIP, there may be changes). There, Blade discovered an odd crate rattling in the forest, and blacked out when opening it. After waking up, his powers seem to be “upgraded”, and so leading up to some inspiration for this AU, Marvel and DC is one of them.
By Day, he’s a Military trooper, by night he turn on his dark magic powers and pretty much becomes a vigilante (like Batman..).

Void, the shadow Alicorn of death, and one part of the element of Justice:
In the FoE spin-off au (and even the Rainbow01 universe), Void is sorta the embodiment of death, darkness (as long as no one pissed him off) and justice, in other words, the grim reaper of the underworld. Heck, some say he’s kinda like Princess Luna in a way…(hmm, I wonder why *looks at Nightmare Moon, King Sombra, Pony of Shadows note, Void stated he’s not related to him Lord Terik…)
Void then got captured by a cult (its another very long explaining tho I’ll do my best to shorten it), who’s wanted immortally and rule the wasteland. A couple of moments later, Void was transported inside of Blade, and after talking to each other, both Void and Blade look out for each other (mostly void tho..), leading up to Void sometimes being a mentor for the now turned alicorn.

Void’s powers vary sometimes, and often get used by Blade in the au of FoE. If Void ever gets angry, he will go on a rampage and do whatever it takes to protect his host.
In the Rainbow01 au, Void is not inside of Blade body, instead he’s more of a communicator and will be at his side when Blade needs his help. his mind is connected with Blade, marking him as a host. Both Blade and Void can either communicate telepathically or the shadow alicorn can just materialize himself next to Blade if he wants to.
