Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Facebook will be "returning to its roots" as a free speech platform. As such, they will be "removing restrictions on topics like immigration and gender that are out of touch with mainstream discourse."


In other words, they're lifting moderation of hate speech toward immigrants and queerfolk. It's assumed that policies blocking *positive* discussion of queer identities will remain in effect to "protect children," as was recently found on Instagram.

EDIT: Further down in the threatd, he announced he would be moving the content moderation team out of California in favor of Texas to "remove the concern that biased employees are overly censoring content." Because it's only "biased" if it's left of Trump.
