Ha. In the thumbnail, the purple parts of Celly’s tail looked almost the same color as Twilight. I initially thought those were Twi’s legs, like Celly was stepping on Twi just outside the frame.

I don’t think there’s anything to get? Some brave fool decorated their IRL car not just with pony art, but fat fetish pony art. The twitter account @fuckedupcars thought it was funny enough to tweet a picture of the car. And the artist of the original fat pony pic is just embarrassed at the specific picture that got chosen.

I don’t know how often birds eat peppers, counting from the birds’ point of view—but from the chili plants’ point of view, it’s super important. The birds are a huge help for dispersing the plant: when they eat peppers, they swallow the seeds whole, then poop them out after flying miles away. And the birds’ digestive system makes the seeds more likely to germinate than they would on their own. In contrast, when mammals eat fruit like peppers, they tend to chew up the seeds and ruin their chances of growing into a new plant.

So the generally accepted explanation is that chili peppers’ bright red color is an adaptation to encourage birds to eat them—and the high capsaicin concentration is an adaptation to discourage mammals.
