How much influence would a voice actor have over gags like this getting into a cartoon, anyway? I can believe a writer, storyboarder, or animator could use their position to work their fetish into a show, but I have a hard time believing a VA is in any position to do the same.

Plot twist: Casting magic just uses stored energy from your body and from food. Twi was a magical prodigy because she was a big eater. If something were to prevent her from using magic for more than a few days, she’d pack on the pounds very quickly.
And Pony Life is an alternate timeline where Twi doesn’t use as much magic, so she gains weight more easily.

I dig the expression on Lyra’s face. It implies to me a backstory that she’s been somewhat reluctant about gaining all this weight for her girlfriend, and she was happy to finally reach a size that Bon Bon was satisfied with. Only now, Lyra has a sinking suspicion that, thanks to this chance run-in, Bon Bon isn’t satisfied any longer, and she’s about to get a lot bigger…

It’s possible the tag history’s missing because of an image merge. When you merge two pics, all the tags are copied over from the image marked as a duplicate, but the tagging history isn’t copied over, so it falsely looks like the pic was uploaded with the copied tags.

It’s a drawing. It’s not a real person getting this fat. Artwork can be a way to indulge in unrealistic scenarios without the dangers that would occur in real life. So if you can’t actually see the character struggling with the health risks of obesity, then you can assume the pic’s taking place in some idealized alternate reality where obesity doesn’t have those health risks at all.
As for why some people are attracted to someone wide enough to need their own zip code? It doesn’t make sense. That’s why we call it a fetish.
