Why don’t you do more of this? Indulging your love of ponies with your love of model railroading and railways in genral? I know quite a few out there would love to see more of that, and you had a few pieces done a long time ago but honestly there should be more!
Gn15 is a great scale btw, my heart loves HOn30 for the compactness of everything. On30 is a nice compromise with a lot of great ready-to-run models straight from Bachmann which makes it very appealing. I really want to love Nn3 more but it is so fiddly and expensive I wouldn’t even bother. All around, narrow gauge model railroading is amazing.

It depends. I am not an expert on production cels, but unless it’s from an EXTREMELY popular movie or show that is very iconic then you won’t be getting much. Even sketches from popular shows and movies don’t go for much. I purchased from a very reasonable seller who dealt with animation cels and sketches (Unfortunately he had to close up shop to focus on other things in life) but usually what I’d see is that animation sketches range from $5~~$10 and painted cels would range from $10~~$20. It’s only when you get to iconic scenes from iconic movies/shows and fully painted do you start to see prices rise drastically. Like for example, My Little Pony of the 80s and 90s was popular enough but it doesn’t really garner a lot of attention in terms of people looking for cels. The Land Before Time is a much more popular and iconic movie so painted cels I’ve seen from the same guy go for around $200+ depending on the characters involved and from what scene (A painted cell for Littlefoot’s mother running away was $200, a painted cel of Cera being scared in a closeup went for $350 or $500 I can’t remember.)

The moral of the story is why do we have tools designed for magic users and hand-wielders only? I mean grabbing everything by your teeth has to get tiring after a while. And good god anyone remember when Mr Cake had to change the diapers with his…eeeuuuuuugh.

I remember doing some Black Box Performances a while back when I did some time with my local Drama troupe. Minimal scenery and costumes, all black everything, and the audience has to fill in the blank spots with their imagination. And seeing how creative Sweetie Belle can be, I can see why she’d be attracted to it.

There were some animation errors in this episode. Obviously in the picture it’s recent as Sweetie Belle has her cutie mark, but then at several points in the episode (Like in the beginning with the chiseler pony) you can see that their Cutie Marks disappear in some shots. So I reckon it just comes down to animation errors.

I thought every show season is a whole year and the episodes we see are the biggest highlights we get to watch, as the rest of what happens in between is just day-to-day life stuff and what not.

It’s a bit distressing because we have been wanting to see more sentient creatures since Season 1; more specifically emphasis put on deer and giraffes due to Zecora opening up the door to African species and one of the older unused story concepts revolving around a Deer trying to find its place in the world. Deer showed up as an actual animal in Legend of Everfree, and this giraffe just raises the questions of whether they are sentient or not.

This is going to bring up some interesting ties with Zecora. In “Pinkie Pride” a hippo was shown, but acted more like a show animal. Here we have a giraffe that travels to the vet and animal sanctuary. Zecora shows that there are zebras in the world and they have some sense of society given how Zecora lives. So…are the rest of them more animal than civilized or what?
