My poor boy! 😭

*wakes up in the middle of he night to muffled muttering and then all out hollering and runs to Big Mac’s room*
 
Mac: “I’M SORRY! NO! PLEASE DON’T GO”
 
Me: *shakes his shoulder until he wakes up* MAC! Wake up! You’re having that nightmare again!
 
Mac: *opens his eyes and looks around trying to catch his breath and but still sobbing* I… I couldn’t save them… I wasn’t strong enough… I..
 
Me: “Mac, relax, it wasn’t you’re fault, you were just a colt”
 
Mac: “and AJ was just a filly… And Applebloom… She never even got to meet them, maybe if if had been stronger, or smarter and seen it coming-”
 
Me: “they didn’t even see it coming, it was a freak accident, please, just try to sleep”  
*lays his head on my lap and rubs his neck and mane until he gets back to sleep*

The only thing it’s “supposed” to be is Big Mac + sleeping.
