Yeah, I think it’s that reason.
 
Discord was a fun villain, voiced by Q. He was going to get a ton of artwork for that reason alone.
 
Sombra’s past isn’t really adressed, so a lot of artists and authors have a ton of leaveway with him.
 
Tirek wasn’t a funny villain, nor was there much mystery. The show was competent enough to explain his story without shrouding anything and let him actually be a serious threat without any serious holes in his plan.
 
Honestly, the only thing that he himself did that bit him in the rump was not just killing the main characters when he could have, but even then, he had no idea that they would pull out some random power up.
 
(Sombra’s plan was foolproof too, but again, he was kept in the shadows, while Tirek was stomping around in broad daylight.)
 
If Tirek were a funny villain, shrouded in mystery, probably he’d get more. But I found it refreshing to have a more serious villain. Chrysalis was serious too, but her plans were so made up on the spot it was painfully obvious.

yeah looking at his tags you can see that almost half of his pics are tirek v. everyone meme, I think it’s because he’s a serious villain and competent at that, unlike the boring sombra, or the good looking chrysallis (once again not human looking) and the jovial discord. if you take out all the meme images then all he has is a few hundred, which is sad sense he’s competent and badass looking.

I have a question and this may seem ‘out there’, but why are most of Tirek’s pics just memes? I mean, he was an epic villain. I expected tons and tons of fanart and stuff of him. Yeah, we got a bunch for the fight scene, but not much of him….Is it because of his more humanisque features being hard to draw? Cause Iron Will has enough artwork to get by and such….Or is it because he’s a guy villain?
