It damn well should be able to be done. I mean, the Avatar IS a lot more respected in fantasy, after all.

Strangely, it is actually possible to push an Avatar’s weapon skill to 11.
Simply cast ‘Enhance’ on it with a Warlock.
Some would explain that this is impossible because the rules don’t allow for that weapon skill, but it’s pretty easy to work it out.
Basically, it means that the Avatar could go toe to toe with a Bloodthirster and hit it on ‘3’s, whilst anything with a WS of 5 or lower would need a 5+ to hit it back.

There’s nothing in the rule books that state this cannot be done.
